Rock legend Ace Frehley, original lead guitarist for KISS, died Thursday at 74 following a fall, and his death has received tributes from Fairfield County where he once called home.
He performed his last Connecticut show in Monroe this July—his ties to the local music scene left a lasting mark.
🎓 Education
Brian Betesh, a sixth-grade social studies teacher at Rogers Park Middle School, was named Connecticut’s 2026 Teacher of the Year on Friday.
Betesh—an alumnus of Danbury Public Schools who co-founded clubs, classes and created a podcast studio as well as serving as a DonorsChoose ambassador—said he felt humbled and is committed to raising the middle school experience.
