- ➤ Brian Betesh, a sixth-grade social studies teacher at Rogers Park Middle School, was named Connecticut’s 2026 Teacher of the Year on Friday. Betesh—an alumnus of Danbury Public Schools who co-founded clubs, classes and created a podcast studio as well as serving as a DonorsChoose ambassador—said he felt humbled and is committed to raising the middle school experience.
