  • A NYC bakery chain known from Sex and the City will open its first Connecticut location in Fairfield County in late summer to early fall. Stamford resident Kelly Fitzpatrick of Blue Park Restaurants said she will manage the Magnolia Bakery franchise and plans to open four locations over the next three years — a move fueled by local growth and community ties.  The Ridgefield Press

EDUCATION NEWS

  • State Department of Education data showed Connecticut schools improved their Next Generation ratings that measure test scores, attendance, graduation, and more, but most remain below the 85% target — only seven top districts reached that score while Danbury climbed to 68.7% after a 2.5% gain.  News 12 Connecticut
