Connecticut Lottery reported no winners in the latest Mega Millions and Powerball drawings; the Mega Millions jackpot stands at $650 million with a cash option of about $304.1 million + the Powerball prize is estimated at nearly $350 million with a cash value of roughly $152.2 million. The next Mega Millions drawing is scheduled for Tuesday while Powerball drawings take place on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 10:59 p.m.

In Western Connecticut the median gross rent was just over $2,100 in September 2024 while monthly homeowner costs were about $1,800—making it cheaper to buy than rent in that region.

This trend shows that while statewide homeowner costs are rising slowly, rents are increasing at a faster pace.
