ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • A potential Nor’easter is forecast to bring rain, wind, and coastal flooding risks to Fairfield County on Sunday and Monday. The National Weather Service issued a coastal flood watch—tides are expected to rise 1-2 ft higher than usual at vulnerable spots.  News 12 Connecticut
  • A coastal storm will hit western Connecticut on Sunday with heavy rain, strong northeast winds and a chance for coastal flooding that may lead to minor power outages. The National Weather Service has issued a coastal flood watch for Sunday 12 p.m.—Monday 8 p.m.  News 12 Connecticut

  • Today, Fairfield Ludlowe won an overtime thriller by defeating Norwalk 35-34 in week 5 of high school football as Liam Bond scored two first-quarter touchdowns. In Milford, Jonathan Law improved to 4-1 with a 34-13 win over Branford as Hunter Kendzierski caught an early touchdown pass and quarterback Matt Witteman added multiple scores.  News 12 Connecticut
