GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection announced that starting Aug. 1 the CHEAPR standard incentive for new battery electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles will drop to $500—prompted by a 30% rise in demand after the federal tax credit ends on Sept. 30—and will continue offering additional rebates of $3,000 for battery electric vehicles and $1,500 for plug-in hybrids for eligible vehicles purchased from licensed dealers.
