- ➤ Connecticut native Christopher Briney stars as Conrad Fisher in Amazon's Prime Video final season of The Summer I Turned Pretty, which premiered on July 16. The 11-episode season released two episodes on July 16 and will air a new episode at 3 a.m. every Wednesday until its finale on Sept. 17—continuing the series based on Jenny Han's book trilogy. - ➤ Broadway producer Michael Patrick won a Tony Award for producing the musical Maybe Happy Ending—which earned six Tony Awards including best musical. He discussed Fairfield County's theater revival in his recent Conversation Connecticut interview. News 12 Connecticut

- ➤ The Department of Energy and Environmental Protection warned residents that the invasive spotted lanternfly is expected to increase over the coming weeks and may harm forest trees, fruit crops and vineyards (it is about one inch long with tan forewings and colorful hindwings). Residents are urged to report sightings and avoid moving wood or vegetation to help slow its spread. WTNH-TV

- ➤ A Connecticut Lottery player has yet to claim a $100K Powerball prize after matching four numbers and the Powerball in the July 12 drawing when the ticket was sold at Wheels in Shelton (players must claim winnings within 180 days). The win was one of five of the drawing with odds of one in 913,000, and the next drawing is set for Wednesday at 10:59 p.m. The Ridgefield Press
