- ➤ Gov. Ned Lamont said Tuesday he backed a bid by a former NBA team owner to keep the Connecticut Sun in the state—if approved, the team would play more games at PeoplesBank Arena in Hartford. Officials in Rhode Island and Massachusetts have also expressed interest in hosting a WNBA team. WTNH-TV
- ➤ Weeks after Gov. Lamont signed a law lowering customer electric bills, state regulators are proposing EV incentives for medium and heavy-duty vehicles that may cut into the planned $10 million savings starting in 2026—PURA will vote on the proposal on Aug. 13 and officials insist the funding should come from the state budget.
