Danbury police said an ATV driver remained in critical condition after a hit-and-run crash on South Street around 3 p.m. on Wednesday—officers found a pedestrian injured on the sidewalk and reported that two other ATV drivers had fled before they arrived.

Nine Connecticut pizzerias will take part in the One Bite Pizza Festival in New York City this fall on September 13, where over 40 top-rated pizza spots will be featured following Connecticut’s earlier billboard and subway displays promoting its pizza title.

Tickets for the festival—available online only—go on sale Friday at 10 a.m.

Communities across Connecticut celebrated Juneteenth on Thursday with parades, picnics and educational events to honor the day a Union officer announced freedom in Galveston, Texas in 1865—Connecticut adopted the holiday in 2022 after federal law in 2021—and the events highlighted ongoing work for equal rights.

Gov. Lamont returned from a three-day trip to the Paris Air Show where he met with aerospace leaders and companies like Pratt and Whitney+ his delegation aimed to attract firms to grow Connecticut’s $6 billion aerospace industry.

He also met with federal officials to discuss issues such as tariffs, emphasizing plans to boost local production capacity in the coming months.
