Monday, the Connecticut Department of Transportation launched its Pollinator Program by planting flowers along highways to serve as habitats for pollinators—an effort that grew from 10 acres in 2017 to now cover 250 acres across 154 sites and includes hundreds more acres with reduced mowing.
