ALDI announced it will cut prices on over 400 products in its 2,400 U.S. stores—including its 33 Connecticut locations—to save shoppers $100 million this summer.

The discount, which covers about 25% of its goods such as fresh meat, organic produce and snacks, comes as food prices continue to rise.

Connecticut will not have a bear hunt season after lawmakers dropped the proposal last night—Gov. Ned Lamont will study the idea as bear encounters with people and pets rise in the state.

Gov. Lamont said he is strongly leaning toward running for a third term in 2026 after lawmakers ended the session — his poll numbers are high but many voters still question if he should run again.

No final decision was given as he continues to weigh his options.
