🏛️ Government
CSCU faculty members met with the Board of Regents to ask that reserve funds be used to block planned budget cuts that may take $12 million from the 2026–27 budget and eliminate nearly 750 courses, impacting 19,000 students.
The board said only part of the $635 million reserve is available as many funds are already set aside while the final state budget will be released next week.
