Good morning, Danbury. Here's your local news at a glance for Friday, the 9th of May.

BUSINESS NEWS

  • Wendy's began selling uncooked four-ounce square hamburger patties at select grocery chains in Ohio+Colorado as a test for expanding their retail offerings. The chain has 53 local restaurants in CT and may bring this new option to grocery stores here soon.  The Ridgefield Press

EDUCATION NEWS

  • On May 8, students from Bridgeport, Norwalk and other cities went to the state Capitol to ask lawmakers for more school funding as local schools face cuts, including teacher and librarian layoffs and a $30 million shortfall in Bridgeport.
