The 2025 Passport to Connecticut Wine Country program has returned with 36 of 45 licensed farm wineries offering digital or physical stamps so participants can earn prizes while supporting local winemakers—fostering a friendly competition for the rest of the year.
News 8 and the Connecticut Office of Tourism announced that Modern Apizza was voted best on the Pizza Capital Trail by fans and critics, beating Frank Pepe Pizzeria Napoletana, Sally’s Apizza, Zuppardi’s Apizza and BAR.
The trail, which maps the top 100 independent pizza restaurants and runs from March 14 to May 1, will be unveiled in late September—just in time for National Pizza Month—adding a new way for locals to explore Connecticut's best pizza.
