🏥 Health
Danbury Hospital joined Northwell Health as part of a merger with Nuvance hospitals in Danbury, New Milford, Norwalk and Sharon, with a five-year agreement that ties price increases to local cost-of-living indexes.
State regulators approved the deal on April 7 and will use independent audits—if prices rise above limits, they will require an improvement plan—to keep health-care bills in check.
