A Waterbury resident claimed $200,000 from a $10 scratch ticket purchased at Big Y in Naugatuck on Thursday, while a Danbury man won a $2 million jackpot from a ticket bought at Jimmie's Market on Germantown Road on Wednesday; 14 lottery winners secured prizes of $100,000 or more this month.

Charlie Widmer has been named the 19th Connecticut State Troubadour and will serve from 2026-2028 to champion emerging songwriters + launch statewide songwriting workshops while promoting diverse cultural representation.
He replaces Kala Farnham following a public nomination process by the CT Office of the Arts.
